Sunflower for Ukraine
Capsule collection
In collaboration with Clothes for Progress, seven repurposed Souvenir Official styles are adorned with works from artists Joe Garvey, Jim Klok & Aidan Cushway using graphics of Ukraine’s national flower to inspire sunflower motifs; creating a dynamic campaign that is ‘Bold, bright, and gleaming with hope’ - 100% of all proceeds from this collection will go towards Black Women for Black Lives and Bridges Over Borders, in efforts to support BIPoC, LGBTQIA+, and other marginalised individuals fleeing Ukraine.
The Sunflowers for Ukraine capsule collection, seeks to support the global Ukraine crisis relief efforts; available globally for pre-order to minimise waste production and reflect the sustainability commitments of both Clothes for Progress and Souvenir Official.
“The national flower of Ukraine is the Sunflower, so it felt right for us to present a collection that honours their inherent beauty and strength. Together we stand tall in support” explained Clothes for Progress founder Chloe Struyk.
Bold, bright, and gleaming with hope, the collection consists of seven Souvenir Official deadstock styles which have been curated by Chloe herself. Working in collaboration with three artists, each garment in the collection has been overprinted with a unique set of Sunflower graphics.
An ode to Ukraine’s national flower, each artist has brought their own unique style to a selection of Souvenir Official pieces: Aidan Cushway reimagines the “Protect Peace” tee-shirt, Joe Garvey works over the “Endless T-Shirt” and the “One LS Tee” and Jim Klok recontextualizes the “One Hoodie” and “One SS Tee” with a love letter from the world featuring Sunflower stamps from a host of different countries.
Dynamically bringing each piece to life, the launch of the collection is accompanied by a multi-layered visual campaign shot by Hugo Snelooper with art direction from Kees de Klein.
Arriving on April 7th, the “Sunflowers for Ukraine” capsule collection is available from souvenirofficial.com. Prices from €70 - €130, products will be available globally for pre-order to minimise waste production and reflect the sustainability commitments of both Clothes for Progress and Souvenir Official.
