During the fundraiser;
— from 16.00 all entrance fees to skate will be donated to charity;
—There is a pop up shop launching the Same Sun collection. It consists of a series of overprinted jackets, pants, polos and shirts, which will be available for purchase on the night;
—The collection will be accompanied by a skate video filmed in both Kyiv and Amsterdam.
—And a special Pizza for Progress by Matto Pizzeria will be available supporting the charities;
All funds raised will be split between The Blue Eyed Project, a Ukrainian charity that travels along the entire front line documenting the historic footprint of war through the eyes of the children; and UNHCR, a UN humanitarian aid who continue to help provide financial aid, shelter and emergency kits.
The capsule collection features prints of the sun. The sun symbolizes unity and responsibility as we are joined under the same sun. Same Sun invites us all to come together to raise funds for a brighter future.
For the campaign, over 25 people from both the C4P and the Skatepark Noord community are portrayed wearing the collection.
Low Blow have donated deadstock jackets, shirts, polos and pants which are produced and hand screen printed in Ukraine. The Same Sun limited capsule collection will be on show and directly available during the event, with prices starting at €35. In the days after the event any remaining items will be available online via @clothesforprogress.
About the charities
The Blue Eyed Project gives Ukrainian children disposable cameras to document their life in deliberated Ukrainian villages. These touching photographs are presented in different ways, raising funds to fulfill the children’s wishlists in return. The goal is not only to give the children a platform to share their experience of the war, but also to show that creativity is a powerful tool to achieve their own dreams.
UNHCR delivers essential aid to people affected by the conflict, internally displaced people, refugees and stateless people in Ukraine. Providing legal, social and humanitarian assistance such as winter clothing, blankets as well as psychosocial support and emergency shelter to those in need.
